Summary: It was time to let go
She doesn’t like it. Being dead. She watches him from afar. Sees everything that he does and it hurts. No it doesn’t. Ghosts can’t feel pain. They’re not meant to feel. But she finds that she does. Finds that it hurts every time she sees him… every time she feels his presence but something is wrong. Something she doesn’t like. She can’t remember his touch… the way he felt when he held her tight at night… Hell, she could barely remember his smile. There had never been a day she thought she’d lose him but she was now… everything about him was slowly fading away.
“I miss you, Jess.”
From where she’s at she hears him. There was just one problem with that. It didn’t… it was starting to not sound familiar. Starting to sound like a voice she’d only heard in a fairytale. A part of her wants to grip onto him tight. Never let go. But the dead can’t attach themselves to the living. Not without killing them.
“I miss you too.”
It’s a whisper on the wind… one he can’t hear and the blonde knows it. He’s sitting at her grave now and his emotions hit her full force and then suddenly there was silence and it scared her. More than anything it scared her. Then again so did what happened next…
Every memory… every smile… every kiss… every breathe… everything she’d ever known about Sam Winchester suddenly disappeared leaving her mind blank. The only thing there being a soft voice.
“It’s time to let go. Move on.”
